There certainly are a lot of these videos of small local government boards who just say a lot of BS like, “I’ll do what the voters want,” or “I’m happy to serve in the best interests of blah blah blah,” but when the rubber meets the road, they are holding onto the power and not following the law.

I’m looking forward to the time when the Saddleback Road District Board is told in no uncertain terms that the meetings:

Must

Be Open

to the PUBLIC!!!!

And those meetings can be recorded and will be published. Every second of them. We are all planning on attending meetings and recording. All public meetings everywhere should just be recorded. Live-streamed. The fact so many board members fight this idea reminds me of cops who fight having body cams.

Once this board (Saddleback Rogue Board) finally learns that their secret meetings are at an end, and the difference between ministerial and discretionary, and a number of other things, I think it won’t be such fun to be a board member, just violating people’s rights and having absolutely no consequences.

But one step at a time.
