Meeting 2
These are the meeting minutes for the second meeting for April 10, 2016.
This was still before my time. We were moving in this month, if I remember correctly.
Things to take note of- the Barkers are still holding two of three positions on the Board.They are still a single landowner, and they are still not legal voters/landowners in the district.
I will say that these meetings were far more transparent for costs and activity.
Discussion was had that we will not have enough funds collected to make adequate repairs to the road.
Jennifer Jernigan made motion to set amount at $400, 2nd by Paul Mauer.
All aye, none opposed, motion passed (see attached resolution 2016-4)
A motion from the floor, no notice to members beforehand, and an immediate vote. And it is being voted on by people who cannot legally vote, but they do have a lot to gain if this passes.
They voted to change the name, but at least that topic was brought up before.
It says to see the attached resolution, however there was no second page sent to me. Additionally, I looked through the entire file at the auditors office , and it isn’t there either. What IS there is the form Mark Barker filled out to all of us on a tax of $400. No resolution, no nothing.
We were told this was a ‘road fee’ or just a road tax… the generic names changed often. But not once was it ever referred to as a Special Assessment. Not once were we ever truly informed, but we thought we had the facts. This becomes more important later.
