Just Vote Somebody In…

Back in the beginning of this mishigas, I was at a county commissioners meeting and the Custer County State’s Attorney, Tracy Kelley, was there. At that time, I still thought she was a decent person. I tend to think everybody is a decent and honest person until they prove otherwise.

Tracy had suggested simply voting in a different trustee.

It was right about there that I realized she either hadn’t read any of the emails I sent to her office… or simply didn’t care.

Why? Because we DID vote in a new/different trustee. Somebody who knew how roads worked. Somebody who was not ok with letting the contractor decide what needed to be done and when. Somebody who didn’t say ‘how high’ when Crystal Farrokhi said ‘jump.’ Somebody who was not going to use or accept the use of the road district for personal gain on their little section of road, increasing their property values.

Yeah, Tracy… we did that. And Crystal called a secret meeting and she suggested he step down. He refused. And she and Allysan voted him out.

When I went to the Custer County Auditors office shortly after this, I asked them about the rules governing such actions (this was before I realized they knew nothing about the laws). And they seemed to all be aware of the event and referred to it as ‘being off the board for not having paid your taxes.’ So, that part of the story had made it that far.

Crystal told me personally, the reason was he was just impossible to get a hold of. This was nonsense because there was no reason to get a hold of him ‘immediately’, after Crystal and others created a bylaw that made it fine for her to call the contractor herself and make many more decisions and that you no longer needed two people to physically sign the checks.

Then on the nextdoor forum the reason for his ousting went back and forth, and then finally when they had the unlawful vote of confidence (literally a vote of the members in support of Crystal breaking state law), I think they settled on one reason and I don’t remember which one it was.

So, golly Tracy… I sure hope that when it comes around to your term expiring that somebody else runs so that we can vote them in and you out. I don’t even care who it is.

And I wish your term would be over far sooner than it will be.
