Gov’t Officials Threaten to Sue Woman Criticizing Them

This is Steve Lehto. He is an attorney in Michigan. Near as I can tell, having dealt either directly or indirectly with so many attorneys in this last year, he is one of the very few decent ones.

This is a great video that I’d love to have the Saddleback Road District Board and the Custer County State’s Attorney watch… a few times.

I do not even remember how many times I’ve tried to tell the board that they are using ‘slander’ when they mean ‘libel’ and in either case, they are wrong, because … well… watch this video and you can understand why the Road Board is wrong… again. And all their threats of suing for defamation are yet another unlawful act on their part and could be grounds for yet another lawsuit.

What this says to me is that the county attorney, like so many other attorneys, either doesn’t know the law, or assumes we don’t. And like so many other attorneys, assumes they can just bully the rest of us into submission.
