What I find interesting about this is that I would bet most of the “public” have no idea there is an issue here. It doesn’t occur to most people that their local politicians are involved in nefarious activities. It just takes one whistleblower… but the problem is finding someone who will listen.

How long had this been going on before somebody listened?
